Desktop AI That Fixes Your “What Was I Just Doing?” Problem
Mai
Ever catch yourself thinking, “What was I just doing?”
Or “What’s next?”
Just say, “Hi Mai !”
Mai is AI inverted, not searching outward, but reflecting inward.
A passive desktop guide that appears only when summoned, showing you your path at a glance.
Mai: your inner workflow made visible.
An intelligent cognitive desktop assistant designed to simplify your day and reduce overwhelm. Mai gives you a clear snapshot of your Historical, Present, and Future workflow: instantly.
Your focus didn’t disappear.
It was kidnapped by notifications.
Mai rescues it.
Clarity in a world of chaos, saving your brain from the internet.
What Does Mai Do?
You handed social media your face, your location, your daily routine. You handed search engines your email and your history. You handed TikTok your attention span. All free. Which means you were the product.
Mai costs $4.42 a month. That is the price of not being the product.
One keystroke. Work context restored. What you were doing, where you are, what comes next. Then it disappears.
Most tools keep you on the screen. Mai gets you off it.
Mai runs quietly in the background. When a notification, a doom scroll, or a runaway thought hijacks your brain, press CMD+I. Mai tells you exactly what you were working on and what comes next.
No chat. No feed. No reason to keep staring.
Back to work. That is the whole thing.

Your browser may flag the download, this is normal for new software.

Download it. Leave it on.
Two weeks later you’ll wonder how you worked without it.
Your data is already out there.
Mai puts it to work for you.
FaceFizzle tracks your eyeballs. InstaDittles knows your insecurities better than your therapist. Your smartphone is a tracking device you paid for and carry everywhere. Advertisers know your daily routine, your mood patterns, and your weaknesses with frightening precision.
None of them asked permission. None of them share the findings with you. And none of them are working in your interest.
Mai is different in one specific way. What Mai observes stays on your machine. It does not leave. We do not harvest it, store it on a server, or sell it to anyone. Mai watches your workflow patterns so you can see where your focus actually goes — not so someone else can profit from that information.
You already give your data to everyone. Mai is the first tool that gives it back to you.
If you are not paying for a product, you are the product. That is why Mai costs $4.42 a month. That is less than a cup of coffee and it means we work for you, not the other way around.
Mai observes app transitions and workflow patterns on your machine to reconstruct your work context. That is it. No keystrokes. No screenshots. No documents sent anywhere. No private content monitored. Your workflow data stays local. Only a brief summarized context is sent to generate your H/P/F response, then discarded.
Nothing is stored. Nothing is sold. Ever.
FAQ’s
Why does Chrome say this is a “suspicious” download?
Mai is brand new software. Browsers flag unfamiliar apps until enough people download and use them. Mai is certified, code-signed, and notarized. As adoption grows, the warning disappears.
I installed Mai and the first responses weren’t very accurate.
Totally normal. Mai learns your workflow over time. Leave it running for a couple of weeks and use it naturally — the more patterns it sees, the sharper and more helpful it becomes.
Why does Mai ask for permissions?
Mai needs access to window titles and browser tabs to understand which task you're working on. That’s how it reconstructs your workflow when you get interrupted.
Does Mai record what I type?
No. Mai detects typing activity timing, not content. It does not store or transmit what you write.
Does my data leave my computer?
Your workflow data stays local on your machine. The only thing that leaves is a brief summarized snapshot of your current context, used to generate your Historical, Present, and Future response. That snapshot is not stored, not logged, and not associated with your identity in any way. Meta built an empire harvesting your data without telling you. I built the opposite.
Can I use it on my work computer?
YES!! Mai was designed and intended for your work computer! Some corporate machines block third-party desktop apps. If installation is restricted, try using Mai on a personal device.
Who is Mai for?
Knowledge workers, founders, developers, researchers — anyone who lives in multiple tabs and wants calmer, cleaner focus.
